I keep reading these to see if somebody will find a way wring a laugh out of this tired premise. Apparently even a professional comedian can’t do it. Maybe it’s impossible.

There’s a genre of pseudo comedic essays in which women address “Men”. Besides the choice of topic their unifying feature is a condescending tone which results from failed attempts at humor. Men need to talk to more women because if we only talk to the funny and engaging ones the rest feel left out.
