I loved this article. I think it’s important to emphasize that the people who really love exercise want to share it with everybody, especially the people who haven’t learned to like it yet. If an overweight middle aged person comes into my gym with a good learning attitude, people will notice immediately and instantly like them more than a young attractive person with a bad attitude. Also, there are sports like power lifting where practically everyone involved has been overweight at some point in the past year, and having “big bones” and a thick waste is considered an asset. Joining a new activity is always scary, but if you stick around for 6 months at serious gym, people will start to value your presence. That’s practically the definition of a serious gym.
